My Nan was 85 years old, so I agree with the saying 'she had a good innings' but it was a tough time
when she passed as my Mam was so ill and it hurt her so much that during the last few months she was
unable to visit my nan or care for her as she had been doing for a number of years.
Mam died the night of Nans funeral and they were both intered into the grave of Mams Dad, my nans
first husband.
I take comfort in knowing that they are all together in peace.
The moment that you died
my heart was torn in two,
one side filled with heartache,
the other died with you.
I often lie awake at night,
when the world is fast asleep,
and take a walk down memory lane,
with tears upon my cheeks.
Remembering you is easy,
I do it everyday,
but missing you is heartache
that never goes away.
I hold you tightly within my heart
and there you will remain.

A rose once grew
where all could see,
sheltered beside
a garden wall,
